National Museum

and archaeological area of Altino

The current exhibition unfolds on two floors of a 19th-century former rice mill following a chrono-thematic itinerary: the sections dedicated to the prehistory of the area and pre-Roman Altino on the ground floor and the Roman city in its various expressions of daily, social and economic life on the first floor.

On display for the first time are pre-Roman remains documenting the birth and development of the city alongside reconstructions of important Celtic and Romanisation burials.
