Piazza dei Signori:

Description: Piazza dei Signori is the main square of Treviso, in the heart of the historical centre. It is surrounded by elegant buildings and is in turn the heart of the town’s social and cultural life.

Architecture: the square is dominated by the majestic “Loggia dei Cavalieri”, a Renaissance building with open arches and a decorated facade. All around the square there are historical palaces, cafés and shops, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

Monuments: in the middle of the square stands the equestrian statue of a commander of the 15th century, Bartolomeo Colleoni, a work of art by Andrea Verrocchio

Palazzo dei Trecento:

Description: The “Palazzo dei Trecento”, overlooking the “Piazza dei Signori”, is one of the most significant buildings in Treviso Built in the 13th century, it was used for several purposes throughout history, among which that of seat of the City Government

Architecture: the building presents a gothic style, with an imposing façade. The main hall, known as the “Sala dei Trecento”, is a large frescoed room, that bears witness to the prestige and political significance of Treviso throughout the centuries.

History: The “Palazzo dei Trecento” can boast a rich history and used to host important political meetings and assemblies in the period of the Venetian Republic.
